This paper examines the problem of tracking control of networked multi-agent systems with multiple delays and impulsive effects, whose results are applied to mechanical robotic systems. Engineering multi-agent systems using feedback loops and holarchies

This paper presents a methodological approach for the engineering of Multi-Agent Systems using feedback loops as a first class concept in order to identify organizations. Feedback loops are a way for modeling complex systems that expose emergent behavior by means of a cause-effect loop between two levels called micro and macro levels of the system. The proposed approach principles consist in defining an abstract feedback loop pattern and providing activities and guidelines in order to identify and refine possible candidates for feedback loops during the analysis phase of the Aspecs methodology. This approach is illustrated by using an example drawn from the smart grid field.
Tolerating malicious monitors in detecting misbehaving robots

This paper considers a multi–agent system and focuses on the detection of motion misbehavior. Previous work by the authors proposed a solution, where agents act as local monitors of their neighbors and use locally sensed information as well as data received from other monitors. In this work, we consider possible failure of monitors that may send incorrect information to their neighbors due to spontaneous or even malicious malfunctioning. In this context, we propose a distributed software architecture that is able to tolerate such failures. Effectiveness of the proposed solution is shown through preliminary simulation results.
Distributed channel prediction for multi-agent systems

La conectividad y el rendimiento del sistema pueden mejorarse mediante la predicción de la ganancia del canal. Presentamos un esquema basado en regresión de procesos gaussianos (GPR) distribuidos para predecir el canal inalámbrico en términos de la potencia recibida en el MAS. International audience; Smart cities aim at improving the quality of life of citizens. To do this, numerous ad-hoc sensors need to be deployed in a smart city to monitor the environmental state. Even if nowadays sensors are becoming more and more cheap their installation and maintenance costs increase rapidly with their number. This paper makes an inventory of the dimensions required for designing an intelligent system to support smart city initiatives. Then we propose a multi-agent based solution that uses a limited number of sensors to estimate at runtime missing information in smart cities using a limited number of sensors.

In this paper we address the problem of detecting faulty behaviors of cooperative mobile agents. A novel decentralized and scalable architecture that can be adopted to realize a monitor of the agents’ behavior is proposed. We consider agents which may perform different independent tasks, but cooperate to guarantee the entire system’s safety. Agents plan their next actions by following a set of rules which is shared among them. Such rules are decentralized, i.e. they dictate actions that depend only on configurations of neighboring agents.
